Get a moroso vacuum system and eliminate that PCV system. That's what I'd do if I was going crazy boost.

Yeah, I've also got to contend with following the rebuild faq for the VG30, using orange permatex on most everything, which seems to disintegrate under any prolonged oil contact.

I followed this FAQ, which called for ptex orange (ultra copper) and ptex blue (ultrablue), cross-checking the FSM only for torque specs on bolts. The stuff I'm supposed to use is Great Stuff, which is gray.

Copper ain't orange, it's copper colored...

I never knew it was not oil-resistant, but that shouldn't surprise me, I never saw it used anywhere but on exhaust gaskets anyway.

In preparation for paint over the last few months, I've taken the greasy bastard from this:

To this:

It's coming along, but I've still got a number of things to go before I can lay paint (obviously).

I've also made a number of decisions to add to my terminal "while-you're-at-itis".

1) I'm upgrading the exhaust from the current stock cast manifolds to a set of high-flow cast manifolds.

2) I'm ditching the stock intake piping for a set of 2.5" pipes from the MAF to the throttlebody (including welding new inlets and outlets on my intercoolers and adding 58mm TBs in the process).

3) I'm ditching the shitty Super HICAS dual-circuit pump (that was leaking like a sieve) for the setup off of an NA 300ZX, and eliminating the steering rack in the rear.

4) I'm buying the kit to take it from a single to a dual MAF system. This should help metering at the high end, so that I don't run out of headroom and start mis-metering air (which supposedly happens at about enough air to make 500 crank HP, not very far from where I'm at with my 433 wheel HP).

Of those four the only one that I've done yet is the third - I scavenged the single circuit pump, reservoir, and mounting brackets off of an NA parts car at the local Nissan shop. The others are going to wait until after I'm through painting.

Just out of curiosity, why cast manifolds? Don't know much about Z32 aftermarket, so just asking.
