I was thinking more along the lines of taking out a loan and swapping in a k20a, k20a2, k20z3, k24a2, or k24 frankenstein with a Full Race twin scroll setup. Same idea as what he did to his lesbaru, but 10x more expensive and retarded.

Why would you tint the headlights to begin with? Doesn't that just make them do their job worse?

If I'd had access to clear vinyl I might have used it... This was the lightest tinted vinyl that this shop had on hand. Normally when you defog a headlight you do need to add some sort of protection to it so that it doesn't haze over again.

The light output isn't reduced THAT much, the light is just a little duller, not as white.

Ghetto if you're bored get into woodworking or gardening or something to pass the time.

Ps. why not tint the windows and leave it alone?

I do intend to tint the windows.

This keeps the car cooler in the sun, affords you a little bit of privacy and even minimizes UV damage to the interior. I say do it

Please explain the benefits of tinting your headlights

Seriously man, I thought you're over the "shitty mods out of boredom" phase

Friend is trying to get hired at Vinyl Styles, he had never attempted a job like this before. Thought itd be a good demonstration for the owner. The owner suggested that he cover my hood in black vinyl, I said no to that.

It's called clearcoat or laminx and even if you don't use that unless your lights were as bad as mine you didn't even buff them hard enough to touch the UV protection most likely.

Tinted head & taillights make we want to madmax into people on the road.

I still can't contain myself everytime I see these on a Aerostar

What's even better is the ones with the center cutout

Well if the experiment is over and that stuff comes off safely I would go that route. I realize that you don't want to be just another CRV driver without any personality showing. Sadly tinted headlights don't show much more than being a pretentious teenager who inherited his mom's car.

Since they can do a lot of different stuff why not bust out some sweet Mario/Nintendo reference or some shit... like a fake Mario plumbing service - "we'll clean your pipes" and a pedo bear peeking from the rear window? maybe all that stuff is lame too but I'd appreciate seeing a CRV with that on it a lot more than seeing one with ebay ricer bling You might even end up on the front page of reddit, not to mention [m].

I defogged the headlights on my wife's M35 last weekend, and all I used to protect them was wax. They stay acceptable for about a year (seeing as I last buffed them out about a year ago).

Alternately, you could use cheapo clearcoat. I am assuming that you've become handy with a spray can over the years...
