Put something in a pipe and smoke it.

Hello EL. So for a while I've been enjoying cigars here and there, but have developed an interest in getting myself set up with a smoking pipe. My problem is, I dont know shit about them, and the things I read about them on an internet kind of give it this vibe that I need to know more about them. Can anyone let me in on what to look for when buying, or what to buy, or just some general knowledge.

Well what do you want to know about them? It's not like a smoke, a full bowl has lasted me 30 minutes easy, and it's one of those things that takes a bit of time, like a minute, to get it ready if you want to pack it correctly.

I highly recommend a Peterson pipe and either Sherlock Holmes or Frog Morton tobacco. Served me well the past three years. My personal favorite is the Harp, model 68. It used to be called the Killarney

This is actually just what Im looking for in a smoke. something I can enjoy for a while while I sit outside.

So, is the style (straight or curvey) just personal, or do they smoke differently?

There is actually a lot of great information on Petersons website as well. Thanks for the recommendation.

Lol found the harp pipe, I think Im cool with not spending $125 on my first pipe.

Ive found a few petersons around the 30 to 50 dollar range, which is more what I was thinking to spend on one right now.

ya i would suggest going with a cheaper one and see if you actually like it. The best part about it is that there are soooo many different types of tobacco. Personally for me i like something that is mild and sweet, with a sweet aromatic to it. Everytime i smoke it around someone they always compliment about how good it smells.
